Hotel and Tour

The circuit of Salkantay is one of the great attractions of Cusco. The Vilcabamba mountain range, where is the snowy of Salkantay is, is a beautiful and lonely area.
The "Salkantay" is the most important snowy of Cusco with 6271 m. of altitude. In our tour we will cross beautiful andean landscapes, we will arrive at an altitude of 5000 m. and we will have the opportunity to observe Condors and Alpacas in their natural habitat, different fruit plants and a large variety of orchids.

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco – Transfer to hotel – Archaeological City Tour
Assistance on arrival in Cusco and transfer from the airport to the selected hotel.
Free time to rest and acclimatize.
In the afternoon (01:30 pm approx.) we will start the Archaeological City Tour, visiting the Temple of the Sun, Koricancha the most important temple of the Inca Empire dedicated primarily to “Inti” the Sun God and where the maximum paid homage to the Inca god "The Sun" was held, the walls of the temple were covered with gold in his whole. Then we will leave the city and visit Sacsayhuaman, located 2 km north of Cusco, an impressive fortress of colossal constructions; the archaeological complex or "labyrinth" Qenqo, Pukapukara "Red Fort" and Tambomachay also known as the Inca Baths.
Transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Cusco.

Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour
Breakfast at the hotel.
At 08:20 am. Pick up from hotel in the bus for the guided tour to the SACRED VALLEY, visit the encompasses the heartland of the Inca Empire we will appreciate the most important town and visited "Pisaq", located 30 km from the city of Cusco and its typical market. Buffet lunch in the warm town of Urubamba, then we continue with the tour to the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, attractive town of Inca origin built by the Inca Pachacutec.
Transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Cusco.

Day 3: Salkantay- Mollepata – Soraypampa
Breakfast at the hotel.
Pick up from hotel (5:00 am approx.) and driven towards the town of Mollepata, arriving at the village have breakfast then continue by car to get to Cruz Pata to begin our trek of approximately 3 hours to Sayllapata where we have lunch. After our lunch, we will have time to rest and continue our trek towards Soraypampa (3,850 m.s.n.m.) in this part of the way we will be leading the first snow called Humantay. We arrive around 5:00 p.m to the first camp where our cook will be waiting with some hot tea to regain strength. After a short break in the camp have dinner.

Day 4: Soraypampa – Chaullay
Early in the morning departure from our camp, after a hearty breakfast with direction to Salkantay (4,540 m.s.n.m.) which is the highest point of the entire route, for about 4 hours climb. We will have a short break to take the breathtaking view from this point is appreciated. We will descend for about 1 hour for lunch and continue walking for approx. 3 hours. up to Chaullay, where is our second camp. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chaullay – The beach (Sawayaco) – Santa teresa
After our breakfast, we start from Chaullay at 7:00 am. approx. to continue our trek towards Collcapampa, where we will pass through narrow trails with abundant flora of the area as different types of orchids and waterfalls that will be all the way. After 5 hours of walking finally we will arrive at Sawayaco also called the beach, we will take a bus to Santa Teresa, where we will camping.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes
At 8:00 a.m. approximately after an early breakfast, we will go by car for about 30 minutes to the Hydroelectric, an approximately 2 hours walk, takes us to Aguas Calientes.
Accommodation and overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 7: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel.
We will depart very early in the morning by bus to Machu Picchu, an ancient Inca village, a masterpiece of architectural and engineering ingenuity. Machu Picchu is believed to have been a military and religious site and one of the residences of the Inca Pachacutec.
We start the guided tour lasting approximately 2 hours.
After that, you will have time to continue visiting the citadel on your own. In the afternoon, we return to Aguas Calientes town, after a short break, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo station, where our staff are waiting for the shuttle bus to Cusco.
Transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
Overnight in Cusco.

Day 8: Transfer to airport – Return to Lima
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the scheduled time to the airport.
Return flight.
